A lovely sweet white sparkling wine. In the year of 2021 Skylark was made in the traditional double fermentation method, which means there is more depth and complexity compared to previous vintages of this wine.
Wonderful floral and fruit aromatics of apple, melon, white peach, apricot, and tropical fruits with just a hint of Elderflower on the nose and the subtle toastiness of the traditional method. Made in South Norfolk from a blend of Phoenix and Seyval Blanc.
Inspired by the melodious little birds that rise above the stunning permaculture on our Norfolk vineyard, Skylark is a great celebratory drink on its own but goes particularly well with canapés at festive parties with friends and family. Lovely afternoon touring and learning about the vineyards and tasting the wines with locally produced nibbles. John is an excellent host and passes on technical information easily. A delightful way to celebrate a 60th birthday with a family group and even better being able to cycle through beautiful lanes in the sun to get there .

John was great the vineyard itself is lovely. Very informative. No pressure to buy anything after. A very relaxed and lovely day, we had blazing hot sunshine also which made it that even more special. Great work guys!

We had a wonderful day at Chet Valley! We hired the venue for a family party and enjoyed food and wine on the balcony overlooking the beautiful vineyard scenery. We particularly enjoyed the Horatio Rose Brut which was very refreshing on a hot summers day. We had an excellent tour of the vineyard with the owner, John who was very knowledgeable about not only the vines and the wine but also the local area and all things nature related. He was also very good with the children in our party. I’d highly recommend Chet Valley Wine and also Chet Valley as a venue to hire.

Don't be deceived by the sunny photo below! A friend and I joined a Chet Valley vineyard tour earlier this year, and despite pandemic restrictions and a torrential downpour that even included hail at one point, John managed to pull off an engaging and fun event. It would appear nothing can dampen his enthusiasm. 😉 Chet Valley has a surprisingly wide range of wines of good quality. So if you are in or around Norfolk - or want an excuse to be - I highly recommend paying them a visit. (Warning: you will probably want to purchase a few bottles too...)
