If you have booked and paid for lunch or picnic in addition to your tour and tasting, please note, the time to arrive for lunch and picnics is 13:30

Bespoke group tours of 10 or more people can be booked in advance on a Monday to Friday by arrangement. Please contact the Chet Valley Vineyard team to discuss availability. We are closed on Sundays.

On Wednesday and Saturdays, lunch is served at 1.30pm ie to follow the 11am tasting, or be eaten before the 3pm tasting. For afternoon tastings, please arrive at 1.30-1.45pm to collect your lunch.

(If you have ordered a lunch, we would recommend that ideally you would undertake the morning tasting, so that you gain the full benefit of both wine and the cuisine. The taste of the wine may be influenced by the flavours that you experience at lunch. But this is not crucial to your experience)

John was one of the first to plant a vineyard in Norfolk, and having been involved with the production of award-winning wines since the 1990s. As your dedicated wine tasting tour guide, he will inspire you with stories of his experiences making wine in Norfolk, and his knowledge from his studies and travels to wine regions abroad both in the New and Old worlds.

A truly immersive and interactive experience, our wine tasting tour starts at the Cellar door and shop before moving into 10 acres of well-established vineyard, where our guests are able to walk amongst the vines during an interactive talk, throughout which questions are encouraged.

After a short walk through the vineyard, the wine tasting tour returns to the new winery, where John explains the details of the winemaking process, and demonstrates the various steps of sparkling wine production – a real treat for those interested in wine, the winemaking process and those who enjoy the end-result of this labour of love.

Finally, guests enjoy generous samples of four or more of Chet Valley’s award-winning wines, in our wine tasting rooms or, on the winery balcony, overlooking our beautiful vineyard.

An unforgettable gift for a loved one, group-retreat, or solo-adventure, this unique opportunity offers casual fans and wine aficionados alike the opportunity to experience the joy of wine from a brand new perspective.
