1.Age Restrictions
Chet Valley Vineyard does not sell alcohol to persons under the age of 18. By using our website you confirm that you are 18 years of age or over. You must be at least 18 years of age to purchase wine and you, or someone else over the ae of 18, must be present to sign for the delivery. Guests aged 18 and up can attend our tours and drink wine.
2. Responsible drinking
Alcohol should be consumed in moderation. Alcohol consumption may cause health problems. Women should not drink alcoholic beverages during pregnancy because of the risk of birth defects. For more information see www.drinkaware.co.uk.
3. Purchases
We require a successful payment transaction before your order is processed. Payments taken on our website are made via Stripe; you can use any UK credit card other than American Express.
3.1 Quality commitment
If you don’t like a bottle that you buy for any reason we will credit you for the full amount for that particular bottle. If you have bought a case or more of a particular wine, then we will refund all of that wine, including delivery, as soon as we have collected the rest of the wine from you, provided, of course, you have only opened ONE bottle of the wine.
3.2 Prices and payment
All prices are quoted in pounds sterling. The prices include VAT, unless otherwise specified. Any delivery charges are additional and will be added to your bill before you confirm your order.
3.3 Delivery
The cost of delivery quoted includes delivery by courier to GB Mainland addresses (excluding Scottish Highlands). For other destinations a surcharge will apply. We are happy to arrange delivery to overseas and non-UK mainland addresses, however the delivery cost will be considerably more than the price shown above. Please contact us for a quotation.
Standard delivery charges are £12.00 for orders under £95 and free for orders greater than £95.
All wines or goods ordered remain the property of Chet Valley Vineyard until payment is received in full.
There is no delivery charge for purchases collected from the winery at Chet Valley Vineyard. you are welcome to collect your order from Chet Valley yourself, just specify this at checkout and contact us to arrange a mutually agreeable time for collection.
3.4 Pre-Orders
Where one or more bottles in your order is a pre-order, the whole order will be despatched when the pre-order item(s) are available. If you require the other items more urgently, we suggest you place 2 separate orders.
There is no delivery charge for tour bookings.
3.4 Tax charges
The prices shown on our website are all inclusive of VAT.
3.5 Breakages
We have a no quibble policy towards breakages. Please check your order upon delivery and let us know within 24 hours by email or telephone of any breakages. We will happily replace any broken bottles or refund you the cost of the damaged bottle.
3.6 Order refunds and cancellations
You have the right to cancel your order within fourteen days of receipt of the goods. Please contact us in writing at once if you wish to cancel your order and we will arrange for the goods to be returned to us and for your payment to be returned.
If you do cancel your order, you will have your payment returned and should arrange for the goods to be sent back to us at your own cost.
We ask that customers make cancellations to tour, lunch or picnic bookings 28 days in advance of the booking date to allow us time to re-advertise the slot to others.
All refunds will be settled within 30 days of the request.
4. Tour booking cancellation policy
Tour and lunch bookings are non-refundable. Bookings are transferable up to 10 days before the date of your visit. Within 10 days of your visit, bookings are non-transferable, although you can reassign your booking to another person if you are unable to attend.
4.1 Tour gift vouchers
Vouchers are non-refundable and non-transferable, but come with no expiry date so can be used at any date in the future. Voucher codes must, wherever possible, be redeemed at the checkout on our website.
5.5 General
Chet Valley Vineyard reserves the right to modify our terms and conditions without notice to you. If you continue to use this website after any changes, this constitutes your agreement to any such changes.
All content, including graphics, logos, text, images and other features on this website, and their associated copyrights and trademarks and other intellectual property are owned by Chet Valley Vineyard.
6. Privacy Policy
We value our customers and their security, which is why we do not store credit card details and nor do we share customer details with any third parties, unless it is necessary to do so to fulfil your order (e.g. courier companies for delivery purposes).. We only collect contact details from our customers in order to process payments, fulfil orders, and send email communications.
If you buy from us, or if you sign up to our email newsletter, we may from time to time send you emails containing news and / or special offers. If you do not wish to hear from us anymore, you may unsubscribe at any time.
Any email communications will only be sent if you have given prior consent to allow us to do so. You have the right to ask us at any time for a summary of the personal data we hold for you. You can request that we delete any of your personal data at any time by emailing us or using the unsubscribe button at the bottom of our email communications.
We promise to comply with any requests relating to your personal data within one month of receiving your request.
We do not store customer’s credit card details, however receipts relating to online purchases and credit card sales will be kept for up to 6 years in to comply with business tax reporting requirements.
Personal contact data (email addresses) provided for the purpose of receiving email communications, will be kept until such time as you request to be removed from the mailing list, at which point we shall delete all records of your details.
You have a right to complain to the ICO if you are unhappy with the way we handle your data.
In the event of a data breech, if your data has been affected, we promise to inform you within 72 hours, before informing the authorities.
All data is collected lawfully and maintained in accordance with the Data Protection Act 2018.
